We at Basera Started this Flood Relief initiative in collaboration with a group of fellow mates, who also happened to be the residents of Kalambaste, Walope and Kherdi , in district of Chiplun, with the brainstorming about how Basera can provide some relief and medical aid and can be relevant in these times . With this hope, we started with the initiative; we reached out to the flood affected families and extended our support in every way possible. 

The house which we personally visited was struck by floods , the exterior walls had been demolished as well as the toilet area had been broken down, the family had 3 people in the house and the night during the floods, the neighbors as well the family (in total 14 people) had to go to the roof top to save their lives as the ground floor was completely immersed in water the slab did not had a parapet wall to hold on , but somehow they managed to save their lives, she recalls the scary night where all her belongings washed away, she tells us that she does housekeeping jobs and had built this house a year back or so , which has now been  to pieces.

Chiplun is located at the foothills of the Sahyadri mountain range in the Konkan region, with two sides of the town surrounded by Vashishthi and Shiv rivers.
